These privacy settings affect how information is stored when you are tracking an emailviewing Tracking Detailssnoozing a message, using email scheduling or when you create a Task or Note.

Note: Please note that the privacy option you select will affect what your real-time notifications look like.

Please select the email program you are using to manage your emails

Apple Mail

 

1. Open Apple Mail and in the Mailbutler sidebar click on the Account Settings () button, then Account & Preferences.

2. A new window will open. Select Privacy under Preferences in the sidebar on the left and customize your privacy settings and choose what information you want Mailbutler to store about your emails.

Note: Please note that irrespective of which privacy option you choose, your data still remains your data. We never read, analyze or store your message’s content or attachments!

On the right-hand side of the screen, you should see a preview of what an opening notification with the chosen setting would look like.

If you allow Mailbutler to store the subject and recipient names you’ll receive a notification like this:

Allowing Mailbutler to store the subject and recipient initials, will give you notification like the following:

If you allow Mailbutler access to subject only you’ll receive a notification like this:

 

If you allow Mailbutler to store nothing, your notification looks like this:


All the changes will be saved automatically.

 

Gmail

In Outlook, you won't be receiving any notification but once you choose from Privacy setting, the preferred setting will show under Activities tab in the sidebar
